The Scion iQ is big! Not in size, of course, It's just 10 feet long. But is big design, performance, safety and fuel efficiency. And when it comes to parking prowess, the micro-subcompact is humongous. Puny parking space? No problem. In cities like Manhattan, where customers often arrive at a dealership with the measurements of their minuscule garage or parking space, small is colossal benefits.

Thanks to the car's intelligent design, small size doesn't require big sacrifice. With 3+1 seating, one adult can sit behind the front passenger, and a child can sit behind the driver. Credit a space-saving asymmetrical layout. The front passenger seat can move slightly forward of the driver's seat, providing more legroom for the passenger behind. To amass even more space, there's no glove box; a  sliding tray tucked under the front passenger seat instead. The rear seats feature a 50/50 split and can fold flat, creating a storage space.

Other engineering innovations also enable the iQ to pair a petite body with prodigious capability. A front-mounted differential, a high-mounted steering rack with electronic power steering and compact air-conditioning unit par the front-end length. A flat gas tank is house beneath the floor reducing rear overhang. At the same time, the three-door hatchback has a wide 66.1- inch stance, which is helpful for handling. A turning radius of just 12.9 feet helps the car maneuver deftly through city traffic.

The iQ doesn't run on brainpower alone. It's equipped with a 1.3-liter, four- cylinder engine that produces 94 horsepower and 89lm.-ft torque. It's rated an Ultra Low Emission Vehicle, and it achieves and EPA-estimated combined fuel-economy rating of 37 miles per gallon on regular unleaded fuel.

The car features an all-new standard AM/FM/CD/HD/USB 160-watt maximum output Pioneer audio system. Blue tooth connectivity and HD radio technology also come standard. A scion navigation audio system is available for drivers who want help finding their way around the urban landscape that's expected to be the iQ's new venue.
